Omar García Brunelliis a researcher and musicologist at the Instituto Nacional de Musicología“Carlos Vega” in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he directs the research program Antología del tango rioplatense. He recently earned his PhD in History and Theory of the Arts from the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires, with a specialty in Musicology. He is the author of Discografía básica del tango, 1905-2010: su historia a través de las grabaciones (2010), La música de Astor Piazzolla (2022); co-author with Carlos Kuri of El Octeto Buenos Aires de AstorPiazzolla (2022); and the editor of Estudiossobre la obra de Astor Piazzolla (2008), and of El Mudo del tango. Ocho estudios sobre Carlos Gardel (2020).
